Oroscopo Restaurant has been operating since 1982 in the heart of Athens, on the square in front of the Divani Caravel hotel, near the National Gallery and the Evangelismos metro station. It started as one of the city's first restaurants dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine, and over the years, thanks to its proximity to major hotels in the area -such as The Ilisian Hotel (formerly Hilton), Ilisia Hotel, Crowne Plaza and The Golden Age- and the numerous foreign visitors we welcome every day, it evolved its menu by adding modern Greek dishes.

Recently renovated, it invites you to enjoy its Mediterranean cuisine in a warm, welcoming and thoughtfully designed setting, with the capacity to host groups of up to 120 people, ideal for a casual lunch or dinner with friends, as well as for special occasions and larger gatherings. Our Kitchen

Our cuisine is rooted in the Mediterranean tradition, that great family of flavours which gave rise to both Italian and Greek cooking, with a focus first and foremost on the Italian side.

Since 1982, Oroscopo has been known for its authentic Italian cuisine, which remains the heart of our menu to this day: a wide variety of fresh pasta dishes such as "alla Carbonara", "Puttanesca", "Pesto", "Tagliatelle" with buffalo mozzarella, "Fresh Ravioli" with truffle, "Rigatoni" with Italian cheese béchamel, "Pappardelle" with salmon and mascarpone, and oven-baked "Lasagna" with bolognese. Everything is always prepared with the freshest ingredients and selected cheeses.

As our area is home to many large hotels and the numerous foreign visitors we welcome every day, we have gradually enriched our menu with modern Greek dishes as well: "Traditional moussaka", chicken "kokkinisto" slow-cooked in red wine, "Traditional Greek oven-baked milk-fed lamb", "Greek beef ribs" slow-cooked in wine sauce with gorgonzola risotto, "Traditional Greek zucchini fritters (kolokythokeftedes)", and the "kritharoto" with shrimp, squid, fresh tomato and ouzo - a truly modern Greek interpretation.

Our excellent wine list reflects this dual identity: it is built around selected labels from Greek producers (Boutari, Ktima Mouson, Tselepos, Gerovasiliou, Ktima Biblia Chora, Akres Skoura, Ktima Lantides) and complemented by classic Italian sparkling wines, such as Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and Moscato d'Asti.
